Superwoman Be the Girl, Not Boy

The title “Superwoman: Be the girl, not boy” is quite confusing, isn’t? You might be thinking it states not to dress like boys or work or hangout like them, but it isn’t anything as such. The sentence is as simple as you read it. It just states whatever you do, do as a girl and not with the title of “Be the boy of the family”. Achieve whatever you want as a girl, not as a disguised boy. You are a girl, and everyone needs to accept it. In no way you are the boy of the family and no one should tag you like that because of your lifestyle.

Superwoman: Against Patriarchy

Men are the one who should run the family, go out to earn, take care of everything in the family and society and women should just make sure to feed properly and follow their instructions strictly. This is a base thought of our society. No this doesn’t sound wrong, let the men do the hardwork and women sit back in their houses and relax after their family chores. This makes a perfect sense. But you have no right to force a woman if she wishes to get indulged in the activities that make her step out of her house and visit the outer world. No one should stop a lady from becoming one of those superwomen and have their own stand.

Superwoman: Let’s Have A Marriage Not Turmoil

“Don’t eat that much, People are looking for slim girls now-a-days for marriage”.

“What have you done to your hair, in our family we don’t accept all this”.

“Wear some big dress, your tummy is out. I don’t want the guy’s family to see it”

These are some of the ‘getting accepted in the society’ advice we hear. Be Fit or else you can’t go out with everyone. Eat wisely or else it’ll be tough for you to get married. Don’t go out in sun or you’ll get tanned and again it’ll be a burden in way of marriage.  Don’t think anything out of the normal woman mind and kill your self esteem and that superwoman you deserve to be and the society will be happy with that.

Super Woman: Overrated Sophistication

Born to lead. As a woman, you will infrequently hear this statement addressed to you. Even if you work as hard as realistically possible and attain the position on your own, the acclaim will never be served to you in a silver platter. Every single day that you will adorn an important chair, you will have to repeatedly prove to the most undeserving of people that you deserve to be there. When men project themselves as a dominant, imperious boss then that is considered as effective leadership as well as a style statement. But when your boss is a lady, you cannot accept her assertive behavior because that will be perceived as an attempt at being ‘macho’. She is expected to get the work done by the most unruly employees but not lose her feminine charm in the process. Her super woman like act needs to get outcome like a warrior but not have blood stains on her princess gown.

Super Woman: Today's Best Employee, Tomorrow's "The Boss"

The number of women in work force has seen considerable growth in the last decade. Embracing the super woman within, these ladies are marching forward in their high heels and proving their value to the establishment equal or at times more than their male colleagues. But one cannot help but notice that though the enrollment of woman may be well comparable to men, but when it comes to high profile positions, the board rooms are still filled with men domineering all the way. The presence of the fairer sex is very negligible in these coveted positions.
