Superwoman Be the Girl, Not Boy

The title “Superwoman: Be the girl, not boy” is quite confusing, isn’t? You might be thinking it states not to dress like boys or work or hangout like them, but it isn’t anything as such. The sentence is as simple as you read it. It just states whatever you do, do as a girl and not with the title of “Be the boy of the family”. Achieve whatever you want as a girl, not as a disguised boy. You are a girl, and everyone needs to accept it. In no way you are the boy of the family and no one should tag you like that because of your lifestyle.

Gender is an important part of life and one should not change it until they themselves want to do so. It applies both physically and verbally. Whenever a parent has a girl child only as their kid, they or the relatives or the well wishers often refer her as the “boy of the family”. This is never needed, because even being a girl she still can achieve the same success and fame as she would with that tag of yours. By providing such tags you just make her feel discouraged that no matter how much success she finds, she’ll yet have to feel inferior in front of boys.

Be a Woman, you are one of a kind already. You don’t need any comparison with a man, that you can fill their shoes. You can do much more than what they can conclude. From being a daughter, wife and mother you have multiple responsibilities to fulfill along with your own dreams and ambition. Have your own lifestyle and live it with pride, but keeping in mind not to indulge in any wrong kind of act or work. Be a lady of personal pride, royalty, fame and success and not a lady who will be tagged as “a man” because she can achieve like a man.

Let the society understand your wait by your own name. Let them judge you by the success you conquer and not by the person you live with. Bear the tag of being a female and not the tag of a human trying to fit the shoes of a man. Show them the necessity of the woman that a man can’t fulfill. Be a female for whom the male desire and dream to have a livelihood with. For being a superwoman, one must not give up their real identity and disguise as someone else or copy someone.  If you want to be judged, be judged for the wrongs that are resting in your heart and not for your looks and definitely not for your gender.

Next time, if someone tells you to “be the boy” ask them if they can ask a boy “to be a girl” and fill her heels and fulfill the responsibilities she bears at different ages of life.  If they can’t ask a boy to do say, they can’t ask a girl to do so too, and this is the first step to make both genders equal.
