Super Woman: When End Marks The Origin

There was a time when only men earned. Then women started earning too and providing for their family which bestowed them with a new honor. These women were then called “sons of our family”. This prejudice which accepts success and growth only when it is served in the male pattern is deeply rooted. It begins even before our birth. A woman nurtures a baby for nine months before he or she can see the light of the day. An unique and most tasking effort that cannot be done by any capable soul of male fraternity. But when it comes to welcoming the new member, more often than not, this enduring gender is not favored. At times, the superstition and ignorance takes such a strong hold, that a prospective super woman is killed even before she could breathe her first air. 

Mankind has reached extreme points of development, but it is yet to master the art of natural selection. As a result, if it's going to be pink or blue, is still a matter of surprise. When sex determination test were not introduced, certain societies were plagued with female infanticide. With advancement of science, when sex could be determined right from the womb, infanticide just turned to foeticide and massive degeneration of balance in demography continued across the world. World is full of patricide but one not super woman has to count on pity of her parents to be born.

 A woman should agree to conceive a new life only if she feels that she is capable of protecting it irrespective of the gender. She is the first shield that can save the unborn child from the bias of the world around her. If she feels that the social conditions are not supportive then she should choose to not know the gender at all. Keeping it anonymous can also protect the baby. In case the cat still comes out, the mother always has the last say when it comes to the matter of the baby. She should be aware of this right and the super woman inside her should not be shy of exercising it.

Due to such incidents, gender determination has been made illegal in many countries. Though this step has saved lot of lives but it's still lagging behind in saving the life of the infant girl after she is born in a cruel world. This is where the role of authorities and social services come in. Relatively higher monitoring of the care and treatment given to girl child should be done so that any adverse party cannot harm her by withdrawing essential medical care. For a baby to become super woman in future, we need to protect her today.

Whether a girl is more or less capable than a guy need not to be proved repeatedly. Even in such era of women empowerment, a daughter, sister, mother is allowed to be born and grow into a super woman, then any modernization can be considered a pleasant eye wash.
