Super Woman: Great Mom And Even A Better Dad

The concept of motherhood is an absolute delight in itself. But for women who don’t get to share this happiness with their spouse, assuming the role of both the parents becomes the most significant task. The account of a single mom can be either because of the sudden demise of her husband or an unfortunate divorce because of which she is rendered helpless in the face of life, where she has to work more than usual to make both ends meet. Some women, upholding the role of super woman, become single moms by choice when they choose to embrace the bliss of parenthood by legally adopting a baby, promising to nurture them.

A single mother, when faced with unforeseen and unplanned circumstances struggles to adjust to her new life. Immediate help from her family and in-laws aides her to face the brutal reality of life with which she wasn’t acquainted till now. Her education and experience comes to test now, as now she has to involve herself both in indoor and outdoor affairs equally. Being a super woman, she remains firm on her virtues, and averts any unwanted advances in workplace and at the same time shower her kids with all the love they deserve to get from both their parents.

A divorced woman, who gets the custody of the child from her marriage, develops a strong sense of independence, firmly believing in the fact that she would rather do it herself like a super woman, than with someone who doesn’t want to. A self-established woman, who might end up single in life, does not let her luck decide her choices. She doesn’t let her status of ‘unmarried’ get in the way of indulging in the joy of being a mother. A single mom has to do more than her share of work, but at the same time she finds solace in the thought that she gets undivided love and attention from her kids.

Research shows that single moms who are also successful entrepreneurs, admit their lifestyle to be a big inspiration all along the way, as it comes with creativity, multitasking, problem-solving that shape up their super woman skills. Instances of well-established single mothers can be found all across the globe. The examples of President Barack Obama and President Clinton are worth citing here, as an epitome of the goodwill with which they were raised.

The prospect of being a single mom is more demanding than an otherwise normal one, as they have to pay heed to all things catering to the needs of their kids and home alone, be it a spoiled teenager or some financial crisis. A single mom should also dare to fall head over heels in love again, irrespective of the qualms of the society because despite of what life has in store for her, a super woman is worth being loved and cared again. So although no one pats them on the back, or congratulates them, they should recognize their own efforts and achievements because they deserve the acknowledgement.
