Super Woman: A Bride Who Doesn’t Like Weddings

A girl who doesn’t like weddings. Sounds like a species rarer than the abominable snowman, but to your surprise, she exists! Wedding is considered to be the most important day in a woman’s life since time immemorial and yet somehow this perfect day looks almost similar in every woman’s imagination. Flowers, fancy gown, multi storeyed cake, a popular band, vintage handkerchiefs, so on and so forth. But there are some differently seasoned ladies who are not charmed by this fancy picture and their super woman like out of box thinking motivates them to pursue newer versions of this important day which is fun but not so taxing on the pocket. Here are some tips to attain the goal.

The first aspect to take care of is the venue. Popular wedding halls or plazas cost closer to the Buckingham Palace than your budget. Rather than going after the aura and name attached to the popularity of these places, you can use your super woman like nifty thought process and chose a venue which is more meaningful. You can hold the wedding in the book store you first met, design a bridge like a wedding chapel where he proposed to you or in the garden of the new home that you plan to move in to after the marriage.

After you have decided the venue, the next thing to attend to is the decoration. After weddings, flowers take up the market for expenses. Though they appear to be the classiest choice, but it hardly comes with any surprise or uniqueness. It’s either lily, rose or orchids! Why not choose items which won’t force you to get into mortgage and look good too. Lights and lanterns are getting popular now a days especially for evening weddings. In case the bride has a unique super woman like theme in mind then the decoration can follow that by using huge flexes and posters

One of the most intimate and important facet of the wedding is the wedding dress. Our closets might be full of dresses that we adore but unless we over spend for a white dress, it doesn’t feel like a wedding. Well, some independent super woman have shaken off this nostalgia. They just pick up a dress which adds to their beauty and style them up as per their personality. Rather than drowning in a long and heavy gown, she prefers a knee length light fabric custom made dress which dances with her during the after party.

Another little piece of the day is the over expensive single flavoured wedding cake. The huge display of cream and icing can be replaced by super woman like twist with a small yet romantic cake in centre which is surrounded by many colourful cupcakes of various flavours. The centre piece can be ceremoniously cut up by the newly wed and the guests can enjoy the parade of cupcakes that follow!
